SAL MASTROPOLO JR

Sal was a skilled woodworker and the founder of our company. He was born on May 2, 1956 and dedicated much of his life wood. He began his journey in the late 70s selling firewood, before moving into movie and theatrical props. In the 90s, he started taking
down barns and reselling the wood, which led to the foundation of our current company.

After the passing of his wife, Sal faced the difficult decision of whether or not to sell the company. However, his son Sal, who shared his passion, joined him and together they decided to take the company in a new direction, focusing on the creation of custom
reclaimed furniture. With Sal’s expertise in woodworking and his son’s vision, the company flourished and became a leader in the industry.

Throughout his life, Sal was known for his unwavering dedication to his craft, his exceptional attention to detail, and his commitment to providing his clients with the highest quality furniture. His passion for woodworking was evident in every piece he created,
and he was respected and admired by all who knew him.

Sadly, Sal passed away in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship and a company that continues to thrive under the leadership of his son. TESTIMONIALS

My husband and I went here because of a recommendation from my nephew Ryan. We were greeted by such wonderful people. Maria helped us pick out the wood we wanted for the cocktail table. It was made for us by the extremely talented people in the woodshop. The floors, doors, beams and furniture in their showroom are beautiful. The pieces that are for sale are unique and so solid. The table they made for us is one of a kind.
Janet Boothney-Laycox
We’ve had two pieces built by Sal and his team at Authentic Antique Lumber. The first was an 8′ x 40″ black walnut live-edge dining table and the other a 52″ x 40″ hand laid concrete coffee table paired with live edge dark walnut legs. Both pieces are insanely beautiful and really work well in our place. Sal and his team are a dream to work with. We couldn’t be happier!

We found this gem on a drive up state today. After previously being in this business, I have to say, these guys are doing it right. The customer service is amazing, the guys could not have been nicer. We were even given a tour. The showroom is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly clean. They have furniture in there that is like nothing I have ever seen before. The selection of wood is outstandingan as well as vast. I will definitely be a regular in this place.
Allyson DeClesis
My husband happened to drive by this place on his way to work. We are so happy we found them! They were amazing to work with – they are so kind and creative! Our sunroom, that has an Adirondack theme, wouldn’t be what it is without them! We did barnwood accent walls, hand hewn beams on the ceiling, and got one of their gorgeous reclaimed table and bench. I can’t thank Rich, the carpenter, and Sal, the owner enough.
